The 2011 Tropical Garden Spectacular and Top End Sustainable Living Festival gives people a fabulous opportunity to get involved in ways that help them, help us as organisers, together creating great visitor experiences.

Here are some ideas from participation in previous spectacularly successful Tropical Garden Spectaculars.

Schools

Is your school or a class doing great things with gardening and environmentally sustainable projects? 

Might your school like to promote itself and/or raise funds for a project - and have fun? See if we can help through your participation in this year's Festival.

Community Groups

Many community groups and charities have had longstanding participation in the Tropical Garden Spectacular, including the Rotary Club of Darwin Sunrise, NT Scout Association, Kiwanis, St John Ambulance NT, Cancer Council NT, and many special interest groups, societies and not for  profit organisations.

These groups help us organise and run the event and in return we are happy to help them raise their profile and funds for their cause.

Volunteers

The Tropical Garden Spectacular and Top End Sustainable Living Festival is run by the Nursery & Garden Industry NT and the Environment Centre NT.  Both are not for profit organisations with members who are passionate about their industry and the environment. The event is organised by volunteer committees of members, partner organisations, key stakeholders and community groups.

We welcome the generous support and assistance of anyone who would like to volunteer their time to assist with coordination and running of the event.  There is always plenty to do and lots of tasks to be completed.  Please contact us if you would like to get involved.
